About us
Matthew Hall is the hypnotherapist behind www.effectivehypnosis.co.uk. His clinics are in both Hillingdon and Ealing, in West London. He holds a Bachelor of Humanities Honours degree with London University. He has trained in Counselling with the Central School for Counselling and Therapy; he has trained in Clinical Hypnosis and Psychotherapy with the Institute of Clinical Hypnosis, in 1999 and 2000; he was awarded a Master of Clinical Hypnosis Certificate in 2006, and in Neuro Linguistic Programming with Performance Partnership. He has a HypnoCBT qualification, so can combine hypnotherapy with Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. He is registered with the General Hypnotherapy Register, and is bound by their code of practice (see Links). He is on the National Health Service Register of Alternative Practitioners. He is on the panel of the West london Group for Lupus support. Matthew suffered brain damage due to a childhood accident, and found his experience was invaluable to working with people with learning difficulties. However he soon realised that he needed counselling skills, in order to help with caring for carers. The leaning towards the use of trance came from an ambition to conquer the suffering of cancer, and Matthew has an efficient method of controlling pain. But this is mostly acheved indirectly, for, if people are able to give up smoking, and live positive lives, then cancer is less likely to take hold. Matthew has been interveiwed on BBC Radio London. Simon Lederman, BBC Broadcast journalist, said 'Being put into hypnosis is like a religious experience', which gives it a completely different stance. He practices in Hillingdon and Ealing - contact us for details. |
